I prefer the word ‘creator’ rather than programmer, designer, or artist. It’s what I used to say when I was a kid: “I want to be a videogame creator.” I hope little me is proud!
There’s power in multidisciplinarity, and I want to use it to create unique and memorable experiences. I particularly like puzzle games with an open-ended nature that encourage experimentation and creativity, and I believe that making videogames is one of the most complex puzzles in and of itself. There is never a right or wrong answer, just multiple solutions that can lead you down a plethora of different paths, which I think is pretty awesome. I’m the kind of person who never likes taking the easy way out and intentionally puts myself in unfamiliar situations to keep learning new skills.
Brief description of what this person implemented or owned (e.g. “Built the level streaming system”).
Another responsibility (e.g. “Optimized asset pipeline and build times”).
“Designed scoreboard UI and implemented live updates” (for example).
“Managed QA pipeline and release verification” (whatever fits).
