During these three years as a student, I’ve been particularly interested in game design, specifically in designing mechanics and level design. In any case, I want to keep learning more about level design and puzzle creation, as in the future I’d like to develop titles with those mechanics focused on the horror genre.
Design of movement, abilities, shooting functionality, and health system.
Initially, secondary abilities were developed for the different weapons in the game; many of them eventually became primary abilities, while others were cut.
Design of the ammo types for each weapon, reload mechanics, visual design, engine implementation, and balancing.
Visual design, effects, spawn rate, implementation in the game, and balancing.
Completely designed mechanic that was later discarded.
Recreation of the player mechanics and PickUps in Unity, which later helped when implementing them into the engine.
All that was previously designed was coded in the engine. Movement, dash, cooldowns, health system and other logic.
Designed and implemented the PlayerCamera of the game including angle, FOV, Offset, LookAhead and feedback when player dashes (cameraShake was discarded).
Implementation and redesign of the entire mechanic.
Implementation of the previously designed shooting system of each weapon in game.
Documented all the things I designed and implemented.
Through the last phase of the development, I was in charge of adding and completing tasks.
